Prince Louis of Luxembourg, who was formerly married to Tessy Antony de Nassau, is engaged to Parisian lawyer Scarlett-Lauren Sirgue. The happy news was announced by the official Luxembourg Royal Family Instagram account who released three new photographs to mark the occasion.
The first photograph showed a relaxed and happy portrait of the newly engaged couple followed by two more formal images, with the couple flanked by Prince Louis’ parents, Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg. Scarlett-Lauren, 29, made her first public appearance alongside Prince Louis, 34, during an awards show a year ago. Prince Louis has two young sons with his previous wife, Tessy Antony, who he divorced in 2019; Prince Gabriel, 14, and Prince Noah, 12.
In a statement, the Royal Court commented: ‘We are happy to announce the engagement of our son, Prince Louis, to Miss Scarlett-Lauren Sirgue. Princes Gabriel and Noah join us in surrounding the new couple with all our affection. We wish them immense happiness.’
Scarlett-Lauren, born in Bordeaux on 8 August 1991, is very much a product of her upbringing with two lawyers for parents, Pierre and Scarlett Sirgue. At the start of her career, Sirgue reportedly worked alongside her mother in Family Law before moving to focus more specifically in Victim’s Law. Scarlett-Lauren works for the firm which was founded by her parents, which is also where Prince Louis works as a mediator.
The news comes just one month after former Princess Tessy of Luxembourg announced she is expecting her first child with her Swiss fiancé, the businessman Frank Floessel. She shared an image to Instagram to mark the news, captioning the picture: ‘Spring is the perfect time for delicate flowers to grow.’ Tessy Antony announced her engagement to Frank on New Year’s Eve.
It is not yet known when Tessy’s baby is due. Prince Louis and Scarlett-Lauren’s wedding date is still to be announced.
